Alice delivered a free creative writing session for children and their carers as part of MAST Mayflower Studio’s Family Fun Day, 2023.
Participants created playful poetry on an underwater adventure, learning about the wildlife that lives in the sea. Using the buckets and spades of language, the children explored what does and doesn’t belong in the sea, as well as celebrating what they love about nature.
With its ocean focus, the session was also part of Creative Writing Against Coastal Waste, a collaboration between The University of Southampton and ArtfulScribe.
