As facilitator, Alice worked in community alongside writer and artist Emma Scattergood on this ArtfulScribe project funded by Arts Council England and BCP Council.
Alice co-designed project strategy, activity pack and creative writing sessions to value every voice within BCP, gathering ‘a story from every postcode’ to create a community story map and a shared sense of community identity.
The role involved nurturing connections with diverse community groups and local organisations to create opportunities for creative writing and shared stories for all. Participants and collaborators include: elders in care homes, wellbeing groups in nature, local libraries and vulnerable community members, refugees and asylum seekers and Bournemouth Writing Festival.
At the heart of the project was celebrating the stories of place and people within BCP.
