Embodied Practice with Alice Flynn Creativity and Yoga
Mondays: 6.30 – 8 PM at The Old School House, Boscombe
Wednesdays: 6.30 – 8 PM at Sanctum Studio, Poole.
This Autumn there are two options for engaging with Embodied Practice, evening of movement that supports your thriving and flourishing, through the simple joy of moving the body.
Each session will follow a simple yet potent flow:
* A centring meditation and brief sharing circle to begin.
* 25 minutes of guided yoga
* 25 minutes of freeform dance
* 25 minutes of silent meditation
* A closing practice or optional sharing
These sessions are transformational by nature. Alchemical. We gather as a group. We share, bringing into awareness that which is present for us. Through this, a collective field is created. In that cauldron, we move into our yoga practice.
The asana section will gently support the release of tension & holding on all levels, as well as cultivating awareness and strengthening of the musculature. The nervous system is invited into balance. This prepares the path for the free flow of energies in the body and an openness to moving in your freedom and fullness as the music calls you, trusting your intuition and inner impulses. This is one the greatest gifts of these sessions: to dance your dance, the truth moves through you, in any given moment, to deeply listen to your own creative vibrancy and voice, and to embody how life is expressing in form, as you. All this in the richness of gathering with fellow beings.
These sessions are for all bodies and for any one of any level of experience – all we ask is come with a willingness and curiosity.
Time: 6.30 – 8pm
Monday venue: TOSH, Gladstone Mews, Gladstone Rd E, Bournemouth BH7 6BG
Wednesdays venue: Sanctum Studio Poole, 149 – 155 Ashley Rd, Poole, BH14 9DL.
Exchange: £10 cash per session.
These sessions run weekly. For the group energy to build, participants are asked to commit to a minimum of 4 sessions. You are welcome to pay in one block or weekly.
Please note: all cancellations made on the day will incur the full session fee, unless your place can be filled that week.
Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, blanket and wear clothes you can move in – layers for warmth or coolness.
Social distancing and reduced class sizes will be in place, with hand sanitizer available in the venue.
